Ring that bell!
Rachel Mielke, with EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women, opens the TSX
Every once and a while, when a woman reaches for her dreams, works hard, and finds the right support - she gets opportunities for 'pinch me' moments. This is one of those moments.
Wednesday, November 25, 2015, was a historic moment at the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) as the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women class of 2015 opened the market. Among this elite class of women was Rachel Mielke, winner and member of this class, Hillberg & Berk COO Mary Weimer, and Hillberg & Berk VP of Sales and Brand Excellence Dina Holoien.
This celebration paid tribute to the winners of the 2015 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards and the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women class of 2015, which Mielke was a part of. National Canadian judges for the program, alumni, and the EY leadership team were all present as were Colleen McMorrow, Partner and Canadian Leader of Strategic Growth Markets, Ernst & Young joined Rob Peterman, Director, Global Business Development, Toronto Stock Exchange & TSX Venture Exchange.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards encourage entrepreneurial activity and celebrate those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic companies – honouring distinguished women in their fields. This year Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange have become a national sponsor of the 2015 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and this event marks momentous achievement for Rachel Mielke, and her entire team.
“It was one of those ‘pinch me’ moments. Opening the TSX was definitely a life goal.”
